SMR MK8:
The Super Modular Rail MK8 M-LOK™ is Geissele’s ultra-modular model. The Super Modular Rail MK8 is one of the first rails available to utilize the Magpul M-LOK technology. These rails are designed to give the user full modularity while maintaining a strong and rigid platform. Maximum venting at the lower 45° quadrants create maximum heat dissipation and also dramatically reduces the rail's overall weight. Utilizing Magpul's M-LOK technology at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, as well as the upper 45° quadrants. The MK8 is both versatile and modular, allowing the user to tailor their platform to his or her unique needs.
The MK8 also features Geissele's proprietary 2.25" long barrel nut. This increases the surface contact where the rail interfaces with the receiver and creates a platform that can be trusted to be straight and true the entire length of the free float rail. This increases accuracy and zero repeatability during disassembly and reassembly when performing maintenance.
SMR MK16:
The Geissele Super Modular Rail MK16 offers unmatched performance for the most demanding shooters. Mounted to your AR-15 upper using the updated version of the proven Geissele Barrel Nut design, the MK16 is not only easy to install and maintain, but offers superior rigidity. Anti-rotation tabs and set-screws ensure that your rail will not rotate, even under the most extreme conditions of use. M1913 picatinny rail on top and M-LOK™ slots on every quadrant ensures maximum customization for all your accessories. The Geissele Super Modular Rail MK16 is precision machined using 7000 Series Aluminum due to its strong, rigid and light properties, and is finished in durable Type-3 Hardcoat anodized.
SMR MK18:
The MK18 is the latest in the line of Geissele Super Modular rails and is specifically made to interface with the Arca-Swiss Quick Release System. This new handguard is based on the MK16 M-LOK Super Modular Rail, offering a small diameter and overall height creating a slim profile for competition shooters. The flat base of the MK18 features an “Arca-Style” 35mm wide form with a 45 degree dovetail, that allows quick mounting to an Arca-Swiss Quick Release mounting base, sliding into any position along the rail. The MK18 features Geissele’s proprietary 2.25” long barrel nut that interfaces with the receiver and creates a platform that can be trusted to be straight and true the entire length of the free float rail. The 16.5” long MK18 is 3D precision machined using 7000 Series Aluminum due to its strong, rigid and lightweight properties.
Utilizing Magpul’s M-LOK technology at the major 3 quadrants (left, right and bottom), as well as the upper 45’s gives the MK18 unprecedented modularity and ability to be customized. The MK18 Super Modular rail is finished in a durable and long lasting Type 3 Hardcoat Anodize available in either Black or Geissele’s DDC finish.
